Yes, I’m 6 feet tall and yes, I’m an Amazonian Warrior (In my mind at least).  😉

I’m a firm believer that anybody can achieve their dream body by achieving optimal health. And optimal health is achieved through one thing: listening to your body.

I’ve developed an intuitive style of fitness and nutritional coaching. The path to optimal health is a series of trials and errors. It’s about allowing your body to give you feedback. Our bodies want to be healthy. All we have to do is listen to them.  

I became a gym rat at the tender age of twelve. My incredibly brave mom decided to lose the weight she gained while raising her three rambunctious kids and began training at World Gym in West Covina, CA with a crazy ex-Special Forces coach named David.

He transformed her body and mind and subsequently changed the course of mine. I ran around that gym four days a week for two years until I started playing high school basketball. By then, my mom hired another coach to get me ready for the varsity squad instead of starting in JV and my love for weightlifting was cemented early.  

Unfortunately, my basketball career was tumultuous due to knee injuries. Two knee surgeries and over two years of rehabilitation ended my basketball career, but not my passion for fitness. The journey with my knees has sent me on a never ending search for alternative training methods.  

I’ve mastered Tai Bo, Zumba, Cardio Barre, Hip Hop Abs, P90X, Insanity, Muay Thai, Bikram Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Weightlifting, Swimming, Running, Hiking, Ballet, Modern Dance, Burlesque Dance. You name it and chances are I’ve given it an honest try. And I’ve played basketball, volleyball, softball, football for many years. My body wants to be athletic. 

I share an equal passion for intuitive nutrition. I believe our bodies tell us how to eat. All we have to do is listen.  I’ve been on a constant search for the ideal nutrition approach for my body through constant trial and error. I’m deeply passionate about teaching others how to do the same. I’ve studied and tried most diets under the sun from Atkins, Nutrisystem, Weightwatchers, South Beach, Paleo, Vegan, Raw Vegan. I believe in research both on and off the field. 

I studied nutrition and kinesiology at USC. I’ve since studied nutrition on my own for 10 years.  All of my research has led me to believe that there’s no one magic bullet diet for everyone. Everybody is different and requires a nutritional approach that works for them to achieve optimal health and/or fitness goals.  

I love to help people discover the optimal nutrition approach for their body and then how to grocery shop, eat out, and cook to be able to stick to this diet with ease.
